I purchased a set of these knives about 10 years ago and they still perform as advertised. For the price I can't imagine that you can find a better utility steak knife. They are not fancy but they stay sharp and are dishwasher safe.

These were given to me as a gift for Christmas 2007. Since then, we have used them for everything but steak. We cut up kid foods mostly. We also use them for peeling apples (not what they were intended for, but sometimes the right knife is dirty), opening packages, cutting fruit, lunch meat, pizza, chicken, salads, grapes, etc.

These knives have stayed sharp even in the face of dishwasher use. They are flexible and durable.

These are wonderful, but be warned - they are very sharp! They wash well in the dishwasher and we have had no problems whatsoever (except that I cut myself, but that was a user error). I highly recommend these knives if you don't want to bother buying replacements anytime soon.

I'm the only one in my house who hasn't been cut by these knives (of course I'm the only one who doesn't cook either - lol). These knives are much sharper than a standard Steak Knife so treat them with respect, or suffer some blood loss ;-)

Bottom line, excellent knives... Sharp, diswasher safe, cheap.

These are quality knives that will last for years, in contrast to other cheaper sets. I have been using these knives for a year now and they are still cutting and looking like the day I bought them. Highly recommended. If you opt for other knives listed as being made by Forschner or Victorinox, be sure they are labeled as such on the blade. Otherwise you may be getting less than these excellent knives.

I recently purchased Victorinox 6-piece steak knife set. I figured steak knives from a company who has made knives for decades should be good. They are, without a doubt, the best I have ever bought. I bet you could actually do a good job carving the Thanksgiving turkey with these! Sturdy, well constructed, and very reasonably priced considering I saw some steak knives offered for 4 times the price.

I have had these knives for over a year and love them. Watch out they are really sharp! I throw them in the dishwasher sometimes but mostly handwash because I think that is what recommended. Get them you won't be disappointed.

I love the set of Victorinox kitchen knives that I bought last year so choosing the brand of my new steak knives was easy. These are just as great as I expected; very sturdy, sharp and affordable. I decided on this particular set because of the shape of the handle. It is chunky--easy to grip--giving me complete control for effortless cutting. (Another model, with the rounded blade tip, has a slimmer handle similar to the paring knife which I do not find as comfortable.) I do have to say that they're not very attractive, but I didn't buy them for their looks!

I purchased a "six-pack" of these knives about 6 months ago. I was so impressed, I just ordered another pack of 6. They are very sharp and are great for everyday cutting tasks around the kitchen. The reason I ordered more was that I got spoiled. Anytime I would go to the drawer to grab a sharp knife I would look for these new ones vs. our old ones. I found that these new knives were always in the dishwasher because everyone would use them up first and leave the old cheapo's in the drawer. We use them for everything....a great paring knife and anything else for which you need a knife this size.

These knives are extremely sharp and cut even tough meat with ease. The nylon handles are very functional but not exactly lovely. I have Victorinox kitchen knives, so I knew what to expect. I've had better-looking steak knives, but none that cut as well. Buying from Amazon was easy and the product was delivered as ordered and on time.

You will not find a better value for steak knives. Excellent quality for the price. Yeah, sure, they have a plastic handles. You might not want to use these for a swanky party, but be honest, when your just having dinner, you'll use a stinking butter knife if you have to. Get these and you have some nice razor-sharp steak knives instead.

When replacing our former steak knives, I went with one of these sets and also another set that had high ratings. I need 12, but wanted to be sure to get the set I liked the most. When I started using both sets, I initially liked the look and feel of the other set (they looked classy), but it quickly became clear that these knives are by far the sharper knives. I use them for everything; they're fantastic. I haven't put them through the dishwasher (don't want my kids getting cut when they empty it), but they're easy to clean, so it doesn't bother me. I'm very impressed, and will purchase another set of these.

I first bought the highly rated Ginsu steak knives (terrible-don't buy). But after being sorely disappointed, I decided to try finding a better set. I've recently found that Victorinox makes some incredible knives, albeit not the most attractive. These knives are incredibly sharp and ergonomically designed for easy handling. As I said before, if you are not trying to impress others, these fit the bill perfectly. Unregrettably I trashed my Ginsu knives and never looked back.

When other reviews said these knives were sharp, they weren't kidding! They're not as heavy as I would have liked, but they are right for the price. I use them as paring knives, as well as steak knives. Did I mention they are SHARP? Please keep them out of the reach of children and knife challenged husbands.

I just spent $1000 on some very nice Wusthof knives then ran out of money for a good steak knife set so I bought these to hold me over for the mean time. The reviews are what prompted try them. So last night I opened the package picked up the knife and laughed at the quality. For me the knives look and feel cheap, but hey their $30 for 6 knives. I then grabbed a lime and I kid you not it cut the lime like it wasn't even there. I can't speak for any long term use but so far I'm very impressed with my $30 purchase.

They are Definitely sharp...but not very expensive feeling...the handles are plastic (I think). they look like those knifes that you get on TV commercials....but feel a bit more sturdy....they work rather well and have not stained or gotten rusty looking. I have owned them now for 3 months and so far so good! They do their job very well.
